I have owned my TA235 for the last 5 years or so and have made use of it almost exclusively as a table saw in the WCA201 Workcentre. The saw is powerful, and when combined with a decent blade, works very well. It cuts through all the jobs I have fed it easily. The only negatives are: the plastic brush caps perished quickly on my saw and the heavy motor housing causes slump which means that aligning blade to perfect 90 degrees is a challenge. All in all it has been a solid workhorse for our eco friendly home decor business - https://www.reclaimdesign.org

I bought this saw to replace an old 15+ year old Triton saw which has had lots of use in my WorkCentre.
It feels really sturdy and just dropped in place. I like the fine adjustments for bevel and height which I didn't have on the old one , it's nice and powerful and I am sure it will last just as long.reckon it will
Great sawDave O'Donnell - 26/06/2019
When I saw the saw described as a "precision circular saw" I thought " yeah just another sales slogan". How wrong I was!
It has an accurate laser to guide the cut, an innovative blade depth adjustment and the ability to adjust the angle of the blade minutely. Its a great bit of kit which I highly recommend
A well constructed saw with plenty of adjustments Blade depth adjustment not always easy using the adjusting knob especially when raising the blade from its fully extended position. Addition of a saw brake would be useful.

Bought for use in a saw table. Good solid construction. Nice feature is being able to dial out the slop in the blade angle adjustment when used inverted, allowing an accurate vertical to be found.
Only con I have found is the lack of a soft start. This saw is more powerful than many but should run at about 10amps, but frequently blows a 16A breaker on start up. Even a 3A vacuum running for dust extraction means the breaker blows every time. Just consider this before purchasing unless you have a beefy supply to your workshop

This is an exceptional product which has easily handled all the work I have been doing since I bought it. It cuts very cleanly and is easy to use. Love it!
I purchased the Saw on 05/09/2016 and exchanged it on 17/09/2016. The original purchase worked well for about a week only, and wouldn't start the next time I wanted to use it. I couldn't find any reason why it wouldn't work. I was very disappointed because I had my previous Triton Circular Saw 235mm for approximately 20 years without any problems. Masters (place of purchase) exchanged it. The new one is working well as at 27/09/2016. Although the exchanged saw is working well, I am reluctant to give a rating at this point in time.
It really is a great good working machine, I love to use for my non professional work. But:
The print on the machine to set angle well is disappearing , and Triton doesn't care about, although I did send jpg to show. This is the only reason I only give 3 stars. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.

I had used a non triton Powersaw for over 20 years. By dint of then prevailing finances.
Having purchased the new Triton 235CSA The features all work to your aid in being more time efficient in setting cutting depths and making quick accurate adjustments for variant cutting tasks.
Also the engineering ergonomics and other physical features all make for a relaxed but vigilant smooth operation of the device. All round appreciation for all the new tech aspects especially the new holding arm fulfills its primary function to enhance smooth and stable operation at all times.

TA 235CSL is a great product which makes accurate cutting possible. It is a strong machine, which fits excellent for the WorkCentre 2000 Series systems. After small adjustments it works perfectly. I have used it for over two years and I´m not disappointed. I work in a small home woodworking shop (8,5 m2) and together with others Triton Tools, TA 235CSL is ideal, due to its flexibility - you can do great things in a small space!

The TA235CSL was clearly the best saw for me when I was looking to buy one, it has the most powerful motor (rated at 2300 watts) in its class of blade size of 235mm, it's even more powerful than some 255mm blade saws which I was also looking into. It has had the the power and depth for everything I have cut and has cut deep fast and quick, something to keep in mind is that with the right blade for the task very few users would have anything that this would struggle with, this powers through the hardest woods around with ease, melamine or composite, white oak, beech, zebrano just as examples, it will go through with speed on any tropical hardwood your going to find and will leave clean smooth cuts. With a double cut this saw could even be used as a beam cutter! The motor is brushed, ideally it would be brushless like other manufacturers offerings, this does add maintenance. This saw is also in comparison to what's on the market today is exceptionally loud, ear protection is definitely needed.
Something that it is clearly the best among any saw I've read or seen is the base plate and adjustments, they are rock solid, they are the thickest most heavily built, most accurate plate, depth gauge, angle gauge I've ever seen, those adjustments you make are not going to move by a hairs width. This is a pure woodworkers saw, it is heavy and cumbersome but has great ergonomics which give it it's controllability. The quality is very high, it has great intrinsic durability although slightly less then saws powered by brushless motors and the best extrinsic durability I've seen, the outer housing is armour and it has one of the thickest electrical cords around, these are the reasons why many construction tradesmen have adopted them. My saw won't see much wear, I love my tools and most have barely a scratch, I even taped certain areas of the saw that might get banged or scratched, I did this with the baseplate just so it would stay pristine!, this could definitely take getting bashed or thrown around though, this a pure woodworkers saw at heart that's tough enough for construction and trade. I couldn't deduct from this saw 5 out of 5.
Also personally, I think it is one of the best looking saws ever.
Best circular saw I foundJody - 29/07/2016
I purchased and tested this saw but only on saw table.
It is great. Even the blade is very good and I had no chipping.
I think it is too big and heavy to use it on hand but for hand use I have another 165 mm saw.
Very good - Recommend itAdrian - 25/07/2016
I purchased this saw to go with the Workcenter 2000. It works great with the table saw. Very powerful and cuts through hardwood, softwood, plywood and MDF with ease. Haven't hard any problems. I haven't used it on its own.
Perfect tool with the Workcenter 2000Ainslee Portlock - 25/07/2016
Aspect très robuste, puissance, alliée à la lame carbure 40 dents, rien ne lui résiste. Utilisée dans du tek de 65mm avec beaucoup de facilité. Réglage fin de la perpendicularité de la lame très appréciable.

Excellent saw, powerful and accurate. I haven't found it's limits yet.
A Cut above the restLes Kubiak - 20/07/2016
Bought this to go with my workcentre it has been no trouble, cuts perfectly and is quite quiet. I have several Triton tools and this saw matches them for quality and precision and I would definitely recommend it
235mm circular sawJohn Edwards - 20/07/2016
I purchased this saw as the old Hitachi I had was almost worn out. This was very easy to set up with the work station which was a big bonus. It doesn't get much work but it is always producing great results and I am sure will last the duration giving accurate and reliable service.
Triton SawWayne Fry - 20/07/2016
I have had several years of use out of this saw and unusually it actually turned up with a decent blade so I could start using it straight away.
This is a heavy duty tool which cuts accurately along the laser guide with (for me at least) no adjustment required.
It has spent most of its time sitting in my Triton Workcentre but on the occasions where I have needed it for other things (like cutting up 18mm ply sheets or chopping solid pine doors in half) it has been fantastic.
I recommend this saw to anyone who wants a tool that they can really trust!
Accurate, well built but somehow still light enough to useMikey - 20/07/2016
Good quality circular saw, easy to use and power enough to cut to depth whilst not reducing rpm. Attached to the saw table the versility to work the machine with extractor ensures dust free cutting when using the crown guard extractor point.
Circular saw and saw tableKeith jones - 19/07/2016
I bought the first TA 235CSL for free hand operations and was impressed of the power and precision of the saw. Afterwards I bought a second on which I used in the workcentre systems. I should still have a Bosch, it must be somewhere in the workshop, but still now, I don´t miss it. ;-)
ImpressiveFlorian - 19/07/2016
Excellent saw head &shoulders above my previous Bosch saw I would highly recommend it to anyone
Circular sawFred - 19/07/2016
This saw, due to its design and weight makes this the perfect tool to cut accurately and safely sheet materials freehand. However, it excels as a bench mounted saw in conjunction with the workcentre - easy adjustments, vibration free, effortless ripping down of materials and easily dismounted in seconds for free hand use. Definitely 10/10 for this Triton, puts my other professional saw on the back of the work bench!
Perfect cuts every timeNeil Stephen Humphrey - 19/07/2016
I purchased the saw for 2 reasons, my old saw was getting very tired and I had also recently purchased the WCA201 Work Centre. The saw attached to the work centre makes the combination a very close competitor to a purpose built table saw and I have the added advantage of an accurate hand saw. However I am unable to award a 5 star rating because I have to adjust it every time I use it because of saw slump. It is a very good saw, sensibly priced and I would recommend it to anyone.
Best Saw I Have OwnedColin Harrison - 19/07/2016
I purchased this saw with the TCB 100 saw table. The TA 235 CSL is a Big Heavy saw, but that's an advantage when mounted in the saw bench. The saw is very well built, Powerful and Amazing value for money. The blade gives a very good cut even on Laminate Flooring. However I wish that Triton had a Finer blade 60 TPI available. I intend to purchase a Bosch blade which is available in 235mm in the meantime. Overall I am very happy with the whole set up. In fact I am so impressed I intend to purchase the new TTS 1400 Track saw for freehand use when it is available.
TA 235 CSL Circular SawGreg 4 - 04/09/2013
This is a great saw, very well built and I am confidant that it will last the test of time.
The supplied blade is, in fact, very good - sharp and cuts clean - no extra finishing has been required on my work pieces as the finish direct from the saw (used in the WCA201 work centre) has been perfect!
The fence is also very sturdy and, overall, I am very impressed with this saw.
Fantastic saw and well worth the costFirstMM - 24/05/2013
I found that this saw is really precise, it has a powerful motor and a sharp blade. At first I wondered if the laser would be more of a hindrance however it has really helped me especially when following all my pencil lines! It is relatively simple to set up and it is easily portable although I do think it is a little on the heavy side - the handle does help for extra safety as it allows for a better grip and control of the saw. The saw is very good quality and therefore glides through the wood smoothly. I am really impressed and it’s great value for money.
