Like all the triton Tools I own this is a sturdily Built machine overall for the price. Easy to follow manual written in plain English. Mine however may be faulty as the wheels either side rise and fall and move inwards by about 3 mm when rotating. To me it seems like the shaft is bent or warped. Other than that a cracking Machine

Quite a remarkable machine to sharpen your tools. Easy to use, functional and accurate in sharpening with affordable price. I tottaly recommend it. The only disadvantage is the very poor instruction book.

My Wetstone Sharpener was delivered promptley and was straightforward to assemble.The insructions on how to set up to sharpen a chisel and use the angle guide were poor. Once I had deviced my own way to set up the angle it has done a very good job. The only thing I think would make it easier to use, would be to have the buffing wheel the same diameter as the grinding wheel. The projection of the chisel in the guide would then not require altering ?. Otherwise very pleased with the results.

The wet stone grinder works well and is a good alternative to the much more expensive competition. Definitely value for money. For beginners, two items are worth of note: Firstly, the user manual is rather rudimentary, but there are plenty of videos available on the internet that bring you up to speed. Secondly, the machine required the separate purchase of the truing tool which is absolutely necessary to achieve a flat surface across the radius of the stone. With the truing stone now, I get very good results on all the my blades.

While the Whetstone Sharpener is very effective and would appear to be built to a high standard, the instruction booklet supplied with it was far from adequate. Apart from how to assemble the sharpener (under the heading "Before Use), there was nothing further regarding it's operation. A search of the Internet revealed a comprehensive set of operational instructions which included correct engagement of the drive system, using the stone grader, use of jigs and support arms, and use of the angle guide etc. Why these were not included within the original instruction book is a mystery; not everyone has access to the Internet to obtain the missing information.

Very pleased with my new purchase, should have had one earlier, I have already added a tool rest and knife sharpener to it. So easy to get a razor sharp edge on chisel and knives. I am a big fan of Triton since fist seeing a vise with a sledge hammer held at an angle in its jaws, I have several tools from Triton and they have all stood the test of time.

Excellent item. Purchased this to sharpen my planes and chisels which it did very quick and very very sharp. Purchased the other jigs so now all knives and scissors are razor sharp too. I use a little pressure when sharpening as it's better to take your time than rushing so lessens Ware on stone and stress on motor too. Like the machine so much I purchased another days later so I can have one set up for the household stuff and one for my workshop too. Just wish I had purchased one years ago

Tale of two halves. As someone totally inexperienced in wetstone sharpening, I was disappointed with the level of education available. Everything used was from YouTube, and it wasn't always for Triton products. However, when I got to grips with it (and trued the stone), it is a dream to use. As a wood carver it's nice knowing that I can always work to my best with the sharpest if tools. I love it. It's so simple and easy to use and with the addition of the leather honing wheel for my gauges, it's great. Highly recommended.

I searched the market for one of these sharpners extensively and on a value for money basis this machine stood out above all others. A very heavy substantial unit, works exceptionally well. Very quite and very accurate too. Well constructed looks good and I would put it up against any machine of this type. I would highly recommend anyone wanting really sharp tools from a unit that wont break the bank and any DIY'er or small business could justify the cost, then look no further.... This is the one to have.... Jim

I bought this as being disabled with a spinal injury sharpening any chisels, scissors or now my sons chef knives has become too hard for me to do manually. I looked at all the other machines and in my eyes the big difference in price between this and all the others was just not worth it. Yes the switch is at the back (SO WHAT) is it that hard to lean over and turn it on (NO) is that worth paying twice the price+ as the cheapest you don't get anything really with it. THIS IS BRILLIANT, EASY to use and most of all does exactly what you need it to do just like the others. The sharpening of chisels is really easy to do and does a fantastic job of it too. Knife sharpening is really great and my son loves his knives even more as they just slide through vegetables and slice straight through all types of meats with so much ease. You can buy this buy all the jigs that they sell and still save about £250 on just buying the equivalent Tormek and if you wanted to you would have half of the cost of there tool sharpening cabinet. Has to be 10/10 for this machine and if you buy any off the others then all I can say is (WHY). Buy this and make life so much easier for yourself and your family.
