I've a small workshop (DIY) and limited room, in need for a versatile machine able to adapt for my environment, no room for the Triton 125 planer - already have the thicknesser. This was on a special offer when purchased which made my dithering go out the window with a 180mm width compared to the 125.

First thing... it's a Heavy Monster! Needs using with respect... and care. Nice soft start, builds up to speed. Will be making a unit to adapt it to hold it as a surface planer - making it very versatile my my needs.

I love the portability of the planer. It works great for when my pieces of wood won't fit my benchtop jointer. Oak, walnut, camphor wood, and hard maple, this planer does a great job on all of them. I would say the finish after it is about a 220, and very little tear out. Whether ypu are taking a shallow pass or the max depth this tool has plenty of power.

I have not used my Triton Planer yet as a couple accessory items/parts are missing, which I have advised and requested replacement. The tool is excellent Quality as are all Triton tools but holding on rating until I get the replacement parts and can use safely, thank You

This planer is awesome. I had seen some mixed reviews on the old model, and all those concerns seem to have been addressed with the updated unit. Bigger dust port, larger motor, soft start, and improved motor cooling. Bought this to take the high spots off of slabs so they can run flat through my 25" planer without having to use a CNC or slab jig first.

Use this planer on large live edge slabs. Very good tool!
