Very powerful and easy to handle tool. Love the ability to clamp upside down and use as a stationary sander. Easily powers off excess material. Excellent tool, will be looking at other Triton tools to add to my collection.

Belt Sander Review Russ McDonald - 7/4/2022

I had 4 x 21 inch belt sander for 30 years. Good sander but lighter in weight, the Triton 4 xe 24 inch is very stable because of the larger base and the weight is perfect for sanding large areas. You just need to guide the direction and let the sander do the rest. Great tool. For your info I use 80 grit belts made by Mirka in Finland, a perfect combination. Triton build good tools

The best tool I’ve ever owned

1200w belt sander 100mm G mulvaney - 11/17/2021

After burning out a competitor's sander (whose name is like 'kill' with an 's'), I needed something substantial. I loaded this baby up with diamond paper and ripped up and beautifully surfaced 200 square feet of very weather damaged deck. Never once did it even hesitate or give me problems, even when applying substantial pressure. I think you could probably even tow your truck with this thing (joking). Most powerful, best sander I've ever owned!

Holy Mother of Belt Sanders! Greg - 3/15/2021

I have had a smaller belt sanders in the past and am thankful that I bought this larger one. I bought mine from a local woodworking shop and couldn't be happier with my selection!

4x24" Belt Sander Tim - 6/8/2020

Parfait GASP - 3/30/2020

So far I really like this sander, the weight was expected the motor is amazing on the down side the tracking os the beat seems to always needs an adjustment when you begin a job, not just once but usually multiple times.

Triton Belt Sander Kary - 3/21/2020

100mm Belt Sander (T41200BS) Ian Reed - 3/10/2020

This sander is a beast, it makes sanding large projects a breeze and cuts my sanding time down a ton. Dust collection is pretty good for a belt sander when hooked up to a vac system. The only issue I had is when I removed the covers to clean the dust chute a couple of metal pieces fell out and after resembling the sander would not run. I then called Triton and they sent me shipping labels and info for repair. After 4 days they accessed my sander decided it could not be repaired and contacted me to let me know a replacement sander is being sent to me. It is a big relief knowing that a company actually stands by their product and warranties.

Great sander and even better customer service Jake Werner - 3/4/2020

Have had a few belt sanders in the past (Bosch, Black & Decker etc...), this sander is definitely the best I have owned. It is a big sturdy, powerful bit of kit, well upto the challenges I will throw at it. I would definitely recommend this sander.

Excellent Earl West - 2/27/2020

I do woodworking as a hobby. I own a half dozen sanders by as many manufactures but the Triton 1200W belt sander is by far my favorite. The 4" x 24" belt covers large areas easily with little effort. Triton should call it "The Beast" as it is truly the king of the belt sanders. Thanks Triton for designing a great power tool. James

The Beast James Looser - 1/31/2020

Only had this for about a month but it has done everything I have needed. It’s a very powerful sander. Dust collection is good. Takes stock down very quickly. I would recommend this at this point in time. Let’s see how it holds up in the future.

Belt Sander Weston Houck - 1/18/2020

Fantastic machine! Seems very robust and well built, like all Triton tools. Look forward to many years happy sanding with this

Belt Sander Jez - 12/10/2019

Nice heavy duty Belt Sander with variable speed control, spare Drive Belt, Base plate and some nice features too,one being that it can be clamped to a bench with the supplied clamps to use as a static Sander (upside down) This is a very useful feature as with other branded Belt Sanders we've had to resort to 'G' clamps and good intentions! This is our second Triton Sander and I've found them to be up to any task that's been asked.

Good Belt Sander with some nice features ANDREW BARNETT - 11/25/2019

Superb sander , very powerful, the bench mounting extremely useful making the machine very versatile.

Triton 100 ml sander Peter Wood - 10/3/2019

Excellent product at a good price. Very happy with it. Only had it a short while but great so far. 4 stars due to short ownership.

1200W Belt Sander 100mm Nick Thomas - 7/3/2019

I bought this to replace a Rockwell that was 30+ years old , there is not a lot of choices when it comes to 4x24 belt sanders . It works great , good weight , plenty of power , no real vibration , BUT the first time I changed a belt and needed to adjust the tracking the tracking knob fell off , it is just a plastic knob pressed on to a round shaft , the shaft has a flat on it for a set screw but there is no place for a screw on the knob . Triton said to return it for a replacement but they are a 2+ hour round trip , I replaced the knob with a $2 one with a set screw and it works great . If not for the knob I would have given it 5 stars .

Good performance BUT could use an improvement Bill Hoff - 6/20/2019

The adjustment of the alignment of the band shifts regularly, slight lack of tension of the sanding band to be reviewed. Location for a stop in stationary position, but absence of the stop in itself, very very bad considering the price of the tool.

Belt Sander, Compliant but average Matt - 6/16/2019

I've owned this tool for a few months and ever since day one the tracking system was awful. I'd have to wait 10 minutes for it to warm up before using it or else the second I made contact would throw the belt an inch in either direction. This was extremely annoying especially bc I bought this tool specifically because it had less safety switches, therefore making it faster for my business. Instead I'm standing in my garage holding it for an absolute minimum of 5 minutes trying to get it to stabilize before using. To make matters worse, I went to use it this morning and it literally blew up in my hand. I pulled the trigger and it flashed so bright I saw spots and it just popped. Now it won't start at all. I'm assuming and hoping I just got a "lemon", but I'm still very disappointed in this tools performance. I didn't register it for the three year guarantee (which was my own fault) because I assumed it was a quality tool. And generally speaking, I burn through my tools quite quickly because of the hard and prolonged use I put into them, so I just buy new ones because it's quicker and easier then going through all the warranty gibberish. However I am quite upset with myself for not registering, especially bc of the heavy price tag on it too. Save yourself some trouble and buy a Makita, or take your chances on this(but make sure you register). Zero stars

Severely Disappointing Kurt Rinamon - 5/17/2019

I've used this belt sander for about a month now and I love it! I especially like using it as a stationary belt sander. Can't beat two tools in one. I've used it to shape parts for furniture, sand edging flush for plywood, and smooth out a live edge slab after epoxying. The belt tensioner is nice and tight. The belt tracking adjusts well. The speed adjuster has a good range. The dust bag works as well as any dust bag. And it is nice and heavy so there's no need to put any weight on it for it to do it's thing. That helps cut down on the work time and fatigue. I've used it for 15+ minutes straight multiple times, with no problems. I have a feeling this will last a long time. It is a beast!

Nice and Solid Tool Kyle Krieger - 4/24/2019

Produit largement équivalent a mes yeux. Petits inconvénients : son poids (mais on peut guère acoir une machine puissante et robuste, sans un poids associé aux materiaux) et sa « puissance sonore » : je vojs conseille de suivre les indications de la notice en portant un casque anti-bruits !).

Excellent produit Chris - 11/18/2018

I bought my Triton belt sander after much research and after being still delighted with my Triton Router and it's purpose made table after several years of use. My research was worthwhile. This belt sander requires little effort to achieve a flat, (no side grooves), sanded surface in no time. The dust collecting bag works, (not many from other tools do), though, of course, a vacuum is better but then both are options with this machine. I was also surprised how long the Triton belts last when compared with cheaper ones. All told, this is a great machine!

No pressure - but the job gets done Neville - 11/6/2018

Triton belt sander. Martin Rojahn - 11/1/2018

I've had very good experience using the belt sander on my projects. It has plenty of power, and makes my work easier when I need to take a little off.

1200w Belt Sander Michael Duffy - 10/23/2018

With several years experience of using my first Triton tool, a router and table,I researched and found the specification of the is sander to be just what I wanted and knew, from experience, that it would be a hardworking and durable tool. In the event it exceeded my expectations in all respects being a great hand held wide base belt sander that is hard to dig in and therefore it produces a continuously flat surface but also being easily transformed into a powerful bench sander for those tricky small sanding jobs. Its dust bag works, (which means it fills quickly and needs regular emptying), though you should still wear dust protection when sanding with this excellent addition to any serious user's tool kit.

A real workhorse to take the strain of sanding to a flat finish Neville - 10/23/2018

Our company does a lot of large beam work and large 4X24 planer is ideal and works great for us. Joel Brady Bros. Carpentry Barrington, IL

Beam work Joel Brady - 10/23/2018

I use a belt sander a lot in my working with large live edge tabletops. I have used a number of different brands including Porter Cable, bosch, Makita, and now I have a Triton. All of these are 4x24 sanders. They get used very hard. The Bosch model worked well but they are discontinued and parts are hard to find. The porter cable I used got very hot in a short time. The Makita sander is very hard to get a smooth surface, It leaves gouges and dips that are not acceptable! The Triton has the correct balance to it that it leaves a very even surface, equal or better than the Bosch. I used it very hard already and it stayed cool like a tool should. I am very pleased with it. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was the dust extraction bags seems to be a bit lacking in getting the dust all in the bag. Even with hooking up a vacuum to it I still have more dust left on the workpc than I my Bosch did. But I can easily with that and am glad to have another triton tool I can depend on! *Lone Pine Specialties*

A good sander Titus H Lambright - 6/18/2018

In late March of this year (2018), I bought Triton’s newest belt sander, Model T41200 BS. It has the larger sanding footprint, 4” x 24”. For many years, I have used my older AEG 3” x 21” belt sander, which Festool continues to produce (and sell, but only in Europe with 220 V) after they bought AEG tool division. My daughter and I build large wood dining room tables in the “rustic modern” style. This is all background because the reason I bought and love this belt sander is that most of the clients want their table built from reclaimed wood – typically from century-old barns or roof trusses from disassembled factories. This lumber is rough. And it is hard. And it is not always straight. We run the lumber though a 15” planer, but after the boards are glued together they require a lot of sanding. Most of the boards are very hard oak from virgin forests. This Triton sander is fantastic for this work – removing lots of wood to make the top of the table perfectly smooth. It is powerful enough to handle the load of using a course grit on hardwood. It is stable and easy to grip with both hands effectively so that you don’t inadvertently let a corner slip and make a gouge in the wood. It is also heavy enough so that you do not have to put much extra weight on the sander with your arms – simply let its own weight do the work. On the other end of the scale, I also use the sander with 180- and 220-grit paper and the sanding leaves the table top perfectly smooth. What a treat. I definitely recommend this sander to anyone, especially those with the requirements of heavy sanding.

very good Belt sander. I have just buy another Triton tool today

Malermester Thomas Sørensen - 11/24/2017

Since it's my first time using a Belt Sander I am unable to compare to other Belt Sanders. Easy to use and control. I really like I can adjust the speed. It's cheap compared to other Sanders, which was the reason to choose this one. The plastic housing seem solid enough and weight wise its well balanced.
