TRA001 Started out a beast

I've had my TRA001 for a little over 1 year and I have run 6 raised panels, built 12 dovetailed drawers, 12 drawer fronts and 1 raised panel door. I just stated work on a grandfather clock in walnut which is going to need a lot of router work. Unfortunately, during the last small project made of 1/2 birch ply cutting dovetails, the router started to vibrate and on shutdown the spindle stopped almost immediately and smoke appeared out of the hole in the table top. The spindle was difficult to turn by hand and after letting it cool down it could turn easier but still has a catch in the rotation. Acts like a bad bearing. This router has always been mounted in a Sommerfelds Tools router table and never free hand.

Great Router

I bought this for use in a router table and it's been excellent so far! The ability to raise and lower the router from above plus the automatic locking mechanism makes it much easier to work with.

This router is fantastic when used in a router table! The variable speed, torque and hp allows the use of bits of various sizes. Panel raising is completed with no strain on the router. Cuts are clean and burn-free. The built-in feature that allows raising and lowering the router from above the table, means adjustments are quick and precise. An added expensive router lift is not needed.
